2024–2025 School Year Calendar

This calendar outlines key dates for the 2024–2025 academic year at The Garvey School, including school holidays, early dismissals, family events, and important academic milestones.

Please keep in mind:

  • In the event of inclement weather or other emergencies, classes may shift to remote learning. Families will receive timely notifications via email and our school communication platform.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences may vary by grade level. Teachers will provide specific details and work with families to schedule meetings that support student growth.

  • Our school calendar may differ from citywide public school calendars. As an independent school, we observe a unique set of holidays and events that reflect our community's needs and values.

  • Holidays that fall on weekends may not be observed on surrounding weekdays unless otherwise noted in our official school schedule.

We also observe select cultural and religious holidays, including (but not limited to): Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Diwali, Lunar New Year, Good Friday, Eid al-Fitr, and Eid al-Adha, in addition to traditional school breaks.

For the most up-to-date information, please refer to the full calendar and announcements sent home throughout the school year.
